League Record: 7W-1L-2T
CIF Playoffs: Semi Finals

A year that we thought was going to be a "rebuilding" year for the Patriot Girls Soccer program turned out to be one of the best runs in program history. After losing 11 seniors last year, there were many different positions and gaps that needed to be filled. It took some time, but after going 1W-5L in our first 6 pre-season games, things began to fall into place and the team chemistry was only getting stronger after each tough loss. The girls varsity team turned things around and ended the season with an overall record of 14W-8L-3T and a League Record of 7W-1L-2T.

The girls made a deep run in playoffs, reaching the CIF D5 Semi-Finals for the first time in program history. Team captains, Desiree Aguilar, Annalise Lomeli, and Ashlyn Gorecki played key roles in leading the team from beginning to end. One of the biggest highlights of the season was coming back from a 1-0 deficit against Citrus Valley in the CIF Quarterfinals to advance to the Semi's for the first time. In the last 5 minutes of the game, Allison Celis was fouled in the 18-yard box which resulted in a penalty kick for the Warriors. Ashlyn Gorecki stepped up and put it away in the back of the net, tying the game 1-1. The team showed resilience and were determined to come out with the win. After double overtime, both teams headed into PK shootouts. Goalkeeper Alana Carrillo came up BIG, making a huge save to put the Warriors ahead in shootouts. Penalty kickers Ashlyn Gorecki, Allison Celis, Desiree Aguilar, and Emily Chau all made their PK's, resulting in a win for Patriot.
