Mock Trial

The PHS Mock Trial Team competed in 4 rounds at the 2026 Riverside County Mock Trial Competition, finishing the season with 2 wins and 2 losses. The team had a very close match against Valley View High School (620-629 in Mock Trial scoring terms) at the Hall of Justice in Riverside. 

PHS Mock Trial team practiced tirelessly throughout the season under the direction of Riverside County District Attorney Coach Tim Brown, Attorney Coach Sandye Ciprian from the Ciprian Law Firm, and legendary PHS Faculty Emeritus Mock Trial Teacher Coach Mike Dohr. 

The following students received well-deserved awards during the competition: 

Most Valuable Players: 

1. Senior Vincent Zepeda - Round 1

2. Junior Evelyn Flores - Rounds 2 & 3

3. Junior Maribel Hernandez - Round 4 

Senior Vincent Zepeda earned 2^nd Place Silver Medal winner for the category Outstanding Defense Pretrial Motion Attorney.
